Dr. Susan Rai is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. Susan has over 15 years of experience providing counselling, parent support, assessment and consultation services to individuals, couples and families experiencing a diverse range of emotional and behavioural challenges.

 

Susan’s training and research includes graduate-level study in behavioural neuroscience, clinical psychology and addiction, with a particular interest in exploring the impact of environment and relationships on healthy development. Susan’s approach combines person-centred therapy and cognitive-behavioural approach with an attachment and trauma informed lens.

 

Many of Susan’s clients request individual or couples counselling when seeking support to strengthen their relationship or gain a better understanding of the direction of their relationship. In addition, Susan offers co-parenting support to individuals who are currently separated/divorced with children and seeking support to parent together in their respective homes.

 

Other couples come in to look for parenting support to learn how to manage their children’s behaviour and or emotional challenges (primarily for newborns-teens).

 

In addition to above, Susan offers counselling services to individual’s experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, weigh loss mindset, family issues, work issues and to those seeking more balance in their life.

 

Susan is currently accepting new clients and offering a free 15 minute consultation to answer any questions you may have about her counselling practice. Susan is currently offering telephone and video counselling sessions.
